A follow up to my last image
posted, I wanted to show another composition I had in mind for this
scene. It shows a little more of the structure and, because of the slight
change in viewing direction, there's a slightly different look to the
light and how it has rendered the scene.
As previously mentioned I find a lot of inspiration in artistic 20th
century street photography (particularly that of the 50's / 60's / 70's)
and I think that influence shows in this image. The recent hot weather
here in the UK created a great chance to capture a Californian or Mediterranean
vibe. I'm hoping I've managed to add a timeless feel to the image too.
The structure interested me. It forms part of a cable pulley system
that a wakeboarder's towing rope is attached to so they can practice
without a boat pulling them.
This image was made while waiting for three photographer friends...
Sanches... before going on a photo-walk together. Go check out their
photography, they make fantastic work!
