AT THE FERRING BEACH OUTLET PIPE

As much as I love to see meaningful photography and artwork that challenges attitudes and perceptions, I also like images of a simpler nature too... images of the everyday, shown in a pleasing way, that exercise the mind differently.

As a people-watcher I like an image that forms a starting point from which the imagination can build its own narrative around a scene. It's a hobby of mine I suppose, people-watching, imagining. It's partly why I feel those old French paintings are so great... of people in cafes, enjoying dances, etc... the original 'street' imagery.

So, here's a scene typical of the beach local to me... a good place for people watching. It's a place to relax and watch life happen. Lots of people walk dogs there and I also like the shape of the mini pier thing that disguises something rather distasteful... a waste water outlet pipe.

I thought it made a good picture, nothing more than that, and that's fine enough. Hopefully, I've composed it nicely. Hopefully, you'll sit with it a while yourself.

If this image is the first of mine you have seen, or you are generally new to my work, please know I'm always keen to make new contacts and push my photography to wider horizons. If you like what you see, say hello!

If you are able to help bring my photography to a larger audience, then lets talk! I'd be glad to hear from you!

Finally, prints of this image are available, starting at affordable prices to encourage new collectors. Signed archival quality prints are strictly limited in number. Your support is very much appreciated.
