I've realised I haven't posted a music photo for a while! Partly because I've not done any music photography since before Covid-19 locked down the music world, but also because I have been receiving good interest in my non-music images recently so have wanted to explore those avenues more.

However, music photography remains a huge part of my life and I can't wait to be doing more of it soon (hopefully!). Anyway, this image is really where it began for me ten years ago... There are technical issues I wish were different but the camera was not at all ideal - a Sigma SD9 - ISO 400 was its maximum sensitivity so I was forced to use flash which I dislike at gigs (I got a better suited camera and lens soon after!). Compositionally it has my style I think. It has a timeless feel I really like, helped by a rock n roll sweatbox venue, no longer there... The Engine Room, Brighton.

Tommy Gleeson was the singer / guitarist / songwriter in The Ga Gas, and then Slaves To Gravity both amazingly good rock bands. They were touring (with Black Spiders) and I emailed to ask if he minded me taking some shots... happily, I got the ok and the band shared those shots via their social media which lead to other opportunities for me, which lead to even more... and so on. My entire music photography timeline goes back to this gig! Thanks Tommy!!

If this image is the first of mine you have seen, or you are generally new to my work, please know I'm always keen to make new contacts and push my photography to wider horizons. If you like what you see, say hello!

If you are able to help bring my photography to a larger audience, then lets talk! I'd be glad to hear from you!

Finally, many of my images are available as prints, starting at affordable prices to encourage new collectors. Signed archival quality prints are strictly limited in number. Your support is very much appreciated.
