"This is an image I originally made in colour in 2013 from two shots. The original colour image showed temporary artwork on the panelling which I found to be too distracting so I removed it for this black and white version. I much prefer it in black and white, feeling it gets to the heart of the subject in a more direct way, that being a fleeting glimpse into the relationship between the two characters... the man and his dog, or what I feel is actually the dog and his (or her) man... hence why I have called the man his 'chauffeur' in the title.

I love the way the dog has its head down, as if trying to be aerodynamic, like a racing cyclist would ride, to get more speed out of this rather slow vehicle. You can almost sense the wind rushing through the fur... I feel the dog really loves these trips out. The man, well, in my mind he's someone who likes adventuring out with his pal. I wonder what sights they've seen together?"

As is my preference, and as mentioned above, this is a black and white version... a colour version may (or most likely not) be available in the distant future.
