"A gull landed on my tent after a downpour and spent a few seconds
drinking from the pools of rainwater that had collected, just enough
time for me to reach for a camera and grab a shot before it flew off.
I like the unusual viewpoint, how the light enhances the outlines of
the raindrops pooled around those translucent webbed feet, and the way
the tent material has veiled the bird, keeping only its beak and feet
the focus of attention.
There is only one print of this image, made as a test of the paper type
and the printers for my own personal research as I had not used them
before. I chose to use this image because it was my favourite at the
Images of the full signed print, and also shown displayed
in a frame.
