Two more images from my recent wander in Brighton testing the soon to be released Revoring vari ND lens filter from @hyfiltersglobal. By using the circular polariser I was able to alter the tone of the sky and sea in each image. A similar effect can be achieved playing with the RGB channels in post-processing software but I prefer to be able to see and adjust the effect at shooting stage.

I wondered which image to show first on this post... one I felt had more impact and one had more narrative. I decided impact first, hoping it'll draw people in enough to swipe for the 2nd shot that perhaps encourages a little more thought.

Brighton's West Pier has been photographed countless times so to make an image that is different from others is quite a challenge. Hopefully, I've managed to do so here. In the first image I tried to give a feel for the constant erosional power of the crashing waves that the pier must withstand, a battle slowly being lost. I placed the focus on the waves rather than the pier. With the 2nd image I'm drawn to a theme of "the past" and "memories", the three people caught by the wave are making new ones of their own, the lone older person watching them reminiscing.

If these images are the first of mine you have seen, or you are relatively new to my work, please know I'm always keen to make new contacts and push my photography to wider horizons. If you like what you see, say hello!

If you are able to help bring my photography to a larger audience, then lets talk! I'd be glad to hear from you!

Finally, prints of this image are available, starting at affordable prices to encourage new collectors. Signed archival quality prints are strictly limited in number. Your support is very much appreciated.
